The Founder

Why Quasar?

Founder Biography

Born and raised in Mauritius and having studied in France and Australia with a background in mechanical, electrical and audio engineering, Nikolaï dove into software engineering after years of frustrations dealing with the loss of the right to own your data and the software you pay for.

Alongside seeing people trying to find a “trusted” accountant, implying the risks of accountants and the restriction of financial literacy to accountants only, Nikolaï launched Quasar via Noria Ltd in mid-2026 to ensure your finances are no longer reserved for accountants and you don’t have to be rich or save all year to afford that trustworthy accountant.

In the belief that financial security should be for everyone, in an age of declining financial literacy, loss of ownership to subscriptions and data clouds, Quasar is the powerhouse of your finances.

The IDE Behind Quasar

Building an architecture of this scale requires world-class tooling. Quasar was developed with the assistance of Antigravity, an advanced IDE designed for agentic coding.

While Antigravity is not the engine powering Quasar itself—Quasar runs on an entirely custom Rust-based Tauri backend with local SLM execution—the IDE served as a crucial catalyst in the development lifecycle, accelerating the construction of our sovereign infrastructure. We will share a more detailed technical breakdown of how we utilized Antigravity in future developer logs.
